Sprint

A sprint is a defined working time in the scrum framework where a development team handles a selected set of tasks from the product backlog.

The work is divided into recurring development cycles, which are called sprints. Within such a period, the team develops new functions, implements improvements or fixes bugs. A sprint usually lasts between one and four weeks.

Functionality and Use

At the beginning there is a planning meeting in which the team determines which entries are implemented from the product backlog. During the sprint, the team meets daily at the daily scrum to coordinate the progress. At the end of the sprint, the results will be presented in the review. Subsequently, the team reflects on how cooperation and development process can be further improved in the retrospective.
