Change Request
A change request is a formal request to change a product, system, project, or process.
The documentation, evaluation and approval of planned changes, such as the introduction of new functions or adjustments to existing systems, are included in the scope of a change request. The aim is to check the possible effects on time, budget, resources and quality in advance.

Functionality and Use
Changes are first submitted along with a description, justification, and a cost and time estimate. They are then reviewed, approved if appropriate, and subsequently planned and implemented.
Examples
- Customer requests a new feature in a software
